Welcome back, Adventurers!
Big news! The release of my next major book “Season of Crows“. It is full of variant rules for the Crowns RPG, including things like mass combat, monster bestiaries, and expanded faction rules. The theme of the text is “war is hell“.
The book is not totally released yet, as Season of Crows is a compilation of nine smaller releases, each part of the Season of Crows line. Once all nine of those smaller rules expansions are released, the whole book will be compiled, even more, options will be added, and the page total will soar over 70+.
Get the first three expansions right now as well as pre-order the remaining six by buying the Season of Crows pdf at this link:

Or, feel free to order each expansion individually. Each of their links is provided on the Season of Crows store page.
The first two expansions that are already released are free so you can see what future ones might look like.
What About “Delve Darker Dungeons” and “Where the Wind Bites Like Steel”?
Season of Crows is actually a part of Delve Darker Dungeons. Delve Darker Dungeons is a series of three “Seasons“: Season of Crows, Season of Omens, and Season of Games. This is just the first.
The Kickstarter/Backerkit addon to get a pdf/print copy of Delve Darker Dungeons only applied for the first Season of DDD (Season of Crows).
So, that is getting accomplished presently to fulfill that pledge.
Where the Wind Bites Like Steel is coming up very soon. I’m still planning out how to write a massive setting book without it being just, entirely overwhelming to a reader.
It’s going to have dark age naval combat mechanics, a full on raid system, and a point crawl that covers all of a fantasy-version of dark age Europe, the Mediterranian, the Northernmost of Earth, and Central Eurasia. Not including going into realms beyond the mortal (Jottunheim for one).
I’m doing it after the initial start of Delve Darker Dungeons because I want to have more experience writing mechanics for Crowns before I write a massive setting tome.
One day I hope to release a Crowns 2nd edition, with all of the content/books I’ve released up to this point being backward compatible (unlike D&D). So the philosophy of each book needs to be in line with the previous.
What’s Coming Up?
On the Season of Crows store page you can see a list of all the upcoming rules expansions and the months they will come out in.
I’m working on a new OSI (Old School Inspiration) over the book “Ice and Monsters” by Peter Naelen. That should be coming out shortly.
My main focus right now is writing the dungeon “The Abbey of St. Immaculate“, and get free copies to the particpants of the Community Campaign I ran earlier this year.
I’m thinking of releasing a micro-setting (essentially I smaller version of what the Where the Wind Bites Like Steel book will become) right after Season of Crows concludes. Still going back and forth on this, more on that later…
Thank you so much, everyone!
Until we meet again,
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR ADVENTURES
